I guess this started many years ago when I used to write periodic, lengthy email updates to my family and friends about my adventures as a new teacher. The emails continued as a way to stay in touch when I moved a thousand miles to Denver, Colorado to take an office job for a mental health administration non-profit.
Danny and I got engaged in September, 2011 and the blog went live in January, 2012 in an effort to keep my sanity during wedding planning. Now that I am a wife, I still find myself blogging because I enjoy it.
I love sports, details/organizing, reading, writing, and yoga. I think it is wild how life can change so dramatically in just a few years. I will never pretend to have all the answers, but that is not going to stop me from looking, laughing, and crying along the way.
Born in New Jersey, I have lived in Pennsylvania, (various places in) Indiana, and now Colorado. While many people say they have always wanted to move to Colorado, I ended up here completely by accident. It sure does work for me though.
This space is my attempt at journaling - I never was much for the paper version - but this format seems to work better. I share random thoughts, some ideas, travel adventures, stories of Spike, and of course sports. I try to keep the sports posts to a minimum here instead sharing those on my weekly posts for Her Game Life. It is so neat to be part of a community of all-female sports writers/fans.
In a nutshell: I am a sports addict, pug owner, borderline control freak, lover of history, and Danny's wife.
